๐Ÿพ What services do you provide?

I offer professional services, including nail clipping, anal gland expression, microchipping, ear cleaning, and support for pets with weight management, diabetes, and so much more!

๐Ÿก Do you offer home visits?

We no longer offer home visits routinely. However, home visits are available for an additional fee. Availability for this is very low as we need to work around our full time jobs and appointments at the pod.

๐Ÿ˜บ What types of pets do you see?

I primarily work with dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. If you have another type of pet, feel free to get in touch and I can advise..

๐Ÿ“… How do I book an appointment?

You can book via the website, social media, or phone. Iโ€™ll help you schedule a convenient time and explain any fees, including for home visits. You use our online booking system here.

๐Ÿ’ท How much do your services cost?

Prices vary depending on the service. Home visits carry an additional fee on top of the service, this is area dependant to account for travelling. Please see the services page or contact me directly for a full quote.

๐Ÿถ What if my pet is nervous or reactive?

No problem โ€” many of the pets I see are nervous! I take a calm, gentle approach and work at your petโ€™s pace to make the experience as stress-free as possible.

โš ๏ธ Can you sedate my pet?

No, I cannot provide sedation. If your pet requires sedation, I will advise a visit to your veterinary practice.

๐Ÿฉบ Are you a qualified veterinary professional?

Yes โ€” I am a fully qualified and registered veterinary nurse, with experience in practice and a passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care. I am also a Suitably Qualified Person for companion animals.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ Do I need to be present during the appointment?

Yes, an owner or responsible adult must be present during all visits, including home visits.

๐Ÿ’Š Can you diagnose?

No โ€” as a veterinary nurse, I cannot diagnose. If I notice any health concerns, I will advise you to see your vet.

๐Ÿพ What happens during an appointment?

I will carry out the agreed service professionally and calmly. If we feel that your pet requires additional time, we will adjust your appointment lengthy appropriately at no extra charge.

โŒ What if my pet wonโ€™t cooperate?

Your petโ€™s welfare always comes first. If they are too stressed or uncomfortable, I will stop and discuss the next steps with you. However, we have managed to work with uncooperative pets who seem like different animals now!

๐Ÿ’ฐ How can I pay?

You can pay with cash or via bank transfer on the day. However, to secure your appointment, bank details are requested using a secure system. Please be assured that neither myself or anyone else can see these - these details are held by Stripe Payment Services.

๐Ÿ“ž What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please notify me as soon as possible if you need to change your appointment. Please understand that no show appointments will be charged in full for the missed appointment.

๐ŸŽ“ What do your qualifications mean?

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN): you can be assured that I am qualified and registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. This is a requirement for anybody wanting to use the title Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN). You are able to search for registered vets and nurses via the RCVS register.

Registered Animal Medicines Advisor (RAMA): A 'RAMA' is entitled to prescribe and/or supply the categories of product that fall within the scope of the qualification they have obtained and the registration they hold. The categories include: POM-VPS, NFA-VPS and AVM-GSL. Registered animal medicine advisor cannot prescribe or supply medications which are under the category of POM-V. You are able to search for registered animal medicines advisor via the VMD (Veterinary Medicines Directorate) register.

DEFRA approved microchip implanter: I have been assessed and approved by DEFRA that I can implant a microchip safely.
